Jordanian designer Dara Hamarneh is inspired by classic notions of grandeur that have been reimagined for today. After graduating from Polimoda in Florence, with a multidisciplinary background, she developed an interest in futuristic solutions and luxury.
Hamarneh's eponymous label, which specializes in handbags, was the vehicle through which her interest was realized. Her vision is translated through contemporary modifications to traditional silhouettes, with the fundamental design tenet of creating something "clean and seasonless." The collection of interchangeable pieces is made up of carefully chosen silhouettes that elevate everyday living. The brand's characteristic sculptural shapes and vibrant hues are inspired by her Middle Eastern heritage and appreciation of simplicity. Based between Amman and London, Hamarneh aspires to create a discrete, global luxury market that inspires consumers to act more responsibly by providing them with something that will last.
The handbags are made in Italy with every stage of the design process strongly steeped in respect. Hamarneh’s suppliers have been recognized for their adherence to moral, environmental, and safety compliance in producing and sourcing raw materials.
