Why We Like It
What’s The Story
Angharad creates jewellery that is wearable for contemporary women and men by combining fluid natural shape with sharp edges of creative modernism.
What You Should Look At
Meghan Griffiths, a designer-maker who operates out of her East London studio, launched Angharad in 2020. Angharad is motivated by the writings of The Mabinogion, a collection of ancient Welsh mythical folktales, drawing on her Welsh heritage.
The Angharad pieces are made by hand utilizing smithing and lost wax casting methods using recovered precious metals. The themes that have been influenced by imaginative tales are being explored in the jewelry collections.
