TAY Jewellery, named after its founders’ Tamara and Jay, is a line of striking and gorgeous jewelry. The collection is hand-crafted using large semi-precious stones and created by skilled artisans with an imagination unencumbered by modern trends.
For both Tamara and Jay, jewelry has been a part of their lives from an early age. Some of Tamara’s earliest recollections are of jewelers’ workshops in Beirut, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore, sitting and watching her mother create bespoke pieces for her personal collection. As for Jay, he fondly remembers his father, a gemstone dealer, returning from trips abroad with magnificent stones that were destined for the famous jewelry houses of Paris & London.
The design duo individually selects stones that are set in either gold-plated sterling silver or gold-plated brass. Prehnite, Malachite, Aquamarine, and Labradorite are just a few of the eclectic gems created in the exotic Sri Lankan and Thai workshops. They are placed in a mix of traditional and contemporary settings. TAY Jewelry makes a statement with pieces that are influenced by retro pieces from the 1960s and 1970s. Layered or worn alone, rock crystal necklaces, chiseled cocktail rings, and gorgeous drop necklaces can be worn from day to night.
