q: What prompted you to move to Tokyo? a: My dad used to work in Japan when I was younger, so I was always fascinated by the culture, art, style and architecture there. So after college I decided to move to discover more about the place and what it has to offer. q: How has living in Tokyo influenced your designs? a: Tokyo, being the busiest city in the world, it has definitely been the most exciting and experimental place for fashion. There are so many different fashion styles, cultures, and subcultures that come and go, and change constantly, and being a part of this city, I always am inspired by people who are surround me, or simply just pedestrians who walk pass me on the streets. q: What is the most important aspect of designing jewellery? a: When designing jewellery, I always think about who I'm designing these pieces for, and whether it's going to be comfortable or not when wearing it. That is the most important thing for me personally. q: How would you describe your own sense of style? a: I think my style is a mix of classic, modern, minimal and parisienne style. q: Do you have a favourite piece in your collection? And why? a: I love most of the designs, but if i had to pick one, I'd say Bella and Arianne. These two are simple yet bold, and classic mixed with elegance as well. They can go with any style or outfit, and are perfect for any occasion, very versatile indeed! q: Are you working on a new collection that we should know about? a: Yes! I am currently working on the AW collection and we are about 50% done! I am in love with every piece from the new collection and I can't wait to share it with you guys soon. q: Where do you see EMILI in the next few years? a: Emili has already been seen on some celebrities and fashion bloggers, so I hope that in the future, more and more would discover the brand. It would be amazing to see more people from different parts of the world wearing EMILI Jewellery!
