Faux fur has become a very sought after item of clothing in the fashion world, and Maison Atia certainly does it best. By combing a modern aesthetic and sensibility with the traditional fur heritage craftsmanship, they plan to disrupt the faux fur market by translating the luxury touch of real fur onto this new material. Maison Atia’s coats make you look and feel glamorous, empowering women through self-expression.
Founded by Chloe Mendel and Gustave Maisonrouge, Maison Atia was created from a mutual love of creating stand alone works of art in fashion. Chloe, having grown up in the hustle and bustle of New York City and being the sixth generation family member of the house of Mendel, she’s always been surrounded by the ever-changing fashion industry. As for Gustave, he was raised with a passion for this world, where luxury was part of the dinner conversation. What a power combo.
The inspiration behind the fall 2018 collection of Maison Atia is women such as Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast in Tiffany’s’, Judy Garland in ‘Easter Parade’ and Carrie Bradshaw in ‘Sex and the City’, representing the quintessential NYC girl. Bold colours and patterns are used to compliment more classic colours in the coats throughout the collection.
