This laminated birch dish by Tapio Wirkkala uses layered wood as both structure and surface. Produced in Finland in the 1950s, it reflects Wirkkala’s background as a trained cabinetmaker and his interest in plywood techniques developed during the Second World War. The laminated construction provides ... Read more strength while allowing the layers to remain visible as part of the form. The dish has an asymmetric oval shape with a shallow profile. The concentric lines result directly from the laminated birch structure. The surface shows light wear consistent with age, and the underside is marked with Wirkkala’s monogram. Signed.

Return and exchange policy
We gladly accept returns and exchanges. As each collection is in limited numbers, we can only accept returns if items are unworn, still tagged, returned within 30 days of delivery. Please contact me within 14 days of delivery & ship items back within 30 days of delivery.
We don't accept cancellations. But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged. Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective: (1) Custom or personalised orders; (2) Intimate items such as lingerie (for health/hygiene reasons)
Conditions of return: buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
