Filiarmi was founded in March 2020 by Gozde Arig. With her dad being an international award-winning caricaturist and her mother owning a textile company, she inherited a natural creative side from a young age, especially in terms of art and design. In 2011, Gozde graduated from London College of Fashion and went on to train under Emilia Wickstead and Charles Anastase. Using this experience to hone her skills, she decided to go out on her own and launch her own brand - hence Filiarmi was born.

Filiarmi is a refreshingly on-trend cocktail meets evening-wear brand from Istanbul designed to make you turn heads. Filiarmi aims to empower women with its contemporary, feminine and effortless styles that use colour and shape to enhance and celebrate the female form. Her collections feature graphical shapes (particularly those from the aforementioned Arp), modern art sculptures and traditional Spanish Gitana costumes. These are amalgamated and reinterpreted to create contemporary yet timeless pieces. The pieces often reflect a joyful and optimistic mood.
